Palo Santo is a tree found in the seasonally dry tropical forests of Peru, Venezuela, Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Colombia, Ecuador, and on the Galápagos Islands. The tree belongs to the same family (Burseraceae) as frankincense and myrrh. It's wood is aromatic and used as an incense and ceremonial tool. It has a sweet scent comparable to baked apples or burnt sugar.

It is used for ritual purification in many traditional settings. Medicine men or shamans will use the smoke of Palo santo to clear bad energies, negative thoughts and evil spirits. It is used in contemporary shamanism and in general use as an incense and way of setting ceremonial space. It finds common usage in ayahuasca and kambo ceremony as well as in witchcraft and Wiccan circles.

Our Palo Santo is harvested in a sustainable fashion alongside replanting initiatives.

Available in sticks, hydrosol (scented water) & essential oil.

To use:

Simply take a stick and light with a lighter or other flame. Let it burn for a minute before blowing out the flame. The stick will continue to smoulder and release its aromatic scent. For safety ensure you have a heat proof surface to rest the stick on when not being held.
