Indian Frankincense resin is obtained from the tree Boswellia serrata in much the same fashion as other Frankincense resins.  It is hot with pleasant flavour and slightly bitter in taste. It had been the ‘frankincense’ of ancient Egyptians, Greeks and Romans who used it as prized incense, fumigant as well as a multipurpose aromatic.  

It is one of the ancient and most valued herbs in Ayurveda where it is used as an analgesic agent, anti-inflammatory, anti-arthritic & anti-proliferative.
